The last 16 draw currently looks like this:

Last 16

Spain play Mexico at 16:00 CET on Tuesday followed by France vs Turkey and Nigeria vs Uruguay in the evening (19:00 CET).  The remaining four matches take place on Wednesday.

Greece and Uzbekistan have never met at under 20 level so there is no form to go on.

Greece are currently favourites with bookmakers for this tie.

Current betting odds: Greece U20 (21/20) Draw (11/5) Uzbekistan U20 (11/4)

Gamingtips Prediction – Greece U20 2:1 Uzbekistan U20

Greece weren’t expected to qualify automatically from their group and they have arrived in the knockout stages undefeated as group leaders.  They were unfortunate to draw with Paraguay last time after Paraguay had a man sent off and Greece led 1:0 until late on.

Uzbekistan finished third in their group and qualified by scoring more goals than other third placed sides.

Greece look very assured on the ball against Paraguay and unless Uzbekistan can bounce back after a 4:0 defeat at the hands of Uruguay, we could see Greece progressing to the last 8 of the competition.

Uzebkistan’s form against Croatia (1:1) is good enough to be competitive here but they folded tamely against Uruguay and it’s difficult to trust them.

Odds of 21/20 about Greece seem very generous although punters should be wary as bookmakers are that there have been plenty of shocks so far in this tournament.

An alternative bet of over 2.5 goals at odds of 11/10 offers value for punters.

This game gets underway at 16:00 CET and can be viewed live on Eurosport.
