Gears of War is one of the most popular games out there for consoles including the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 devices and last night, the third edition of the game was released to the world at midnight. Gears of War fans have been waiting for the release of this game for quite some time and now, the moment has finally come with many heading to nearby stores to pick up the game during the night.

According to the reports so far, the game has been a huge success with many gamers commenting on how great the gameplay is and so forth. Many waiting in lines for hours last night to pick up the game which has many advancements over the last two releases. One of the major additions to the game is the refined multiplayer gaming. There has been a lot of work on this area of the game and it seems that it has all paid off at the moment as gamers are giving it the thumbs up.

There are currently reports from some gamers that the game has actually taken a step back from Gears of War 1 and 2 when it comes to the campaign stuff within the game so this is something to bear in mind if you are looking to purchase it in the near future.

With Final Fantasy XIII-2 being released in January of next year, it is certainly going to be an exciting few months for gamers.

Gears of War Ultimate bundle releasing on February 16 Gears of War Ultimate has been confirmed to be available as a bundle which includes Gears of war I and II, but the third version of the game not included in the bundle.The package priced as 29.99$(Rs.1350) will be released on February 16.

After Speaking to IGN, Microsoft confirmed the news this may not be the final name of the SKU and it also refused to make comments on the specifications but included that GOW III will not be available with the Bundle.

As expected, a trailer for gears of war 3 was announced for release next april. What we didnt expect is what the teaser trailer would actually include. For gears of war 2 all we seen were sillhouettes of what marcus and one locust looked like doing an exciting yet new, chainsaw battle.

This time round we are actually seeing characters, graphics and some gameplay. I was very impressed by it especially seeing Dom with a big beard. Also, in the gears of war 3 trailer we got a sneek peak of a new character to be using in gears of war 3. The trailer has been named ashes to ashes and just as we thought the world had ended we still have a few stories that were unfinished.

Will we finally get to battle general raam, did out flood stop the locust growth? Will we fight the queen? And will we finally get more information about Marcus’ father which has been bugging gears of war players for years now.

Did the ashes to ashes trailer get your gears of war appetite wet? It certainly did for me and I may even consider playing gears of war 2 for a little bit instead of being annoyed by the surge of players on call of duty modern warfare 2 that seems to be clogging up servers and making it difficult to get games with a <50ms ping.

Gears of war 2 was big, but it probably wasn’t as big as Gears of War 1. The main reason I say that, is because gears of war one had such a large time scale of which to impress everyone. Gears of War 2 then had such a big perch to break on to and lets be honest, people don’t like change so the game wasn’t loved by everyone.

There was an announcement earlier this week, that confirmed what we already know, Gears of War 3 will be on the way soon. With call of duty modern warfare 2 bringing millions of gamers to the infinity ward servers, Gears team will be looking for a way in which to get loads of these users back playing gears.

There will be a preview of what gears of war 3 will look like on the 8th of April. This will probably come on the Late Night show on which cliff blesinksy will be appearing. Sources say the game will be unveiled sometime in june, with release of gears of war 3 not being release until sometime in 2011.

Either way it will keep the masses entertained and everyone will be looking forward to Gears of War 3. Maybe the launch time will be scheduled correctly as to not clash with any other big game, as Call of Duty World at War was released only weeks after Gears of War 2. This definately made me think twice about buying it as I needed to save money for Call of Duty.

Who Will Play Who – HAVE YOUR SAY

I know that alot of people have been expecting this movie for a while now with rumours flying about everywhere with possible release dates and the main story line. Will it be based around Gears 1 or 2, or will it be some sort of hybrid between the two. There is also the possibility of releasing it along side Gears 3 so that the story can be all tied up nicely in the movie. What I am here to ask though is, who would you like to see play your favourite charactor in the game.

When speaking to people online, there is a wide range of different views about who everyones favourite charactor is. Mine personally is Cole Train with his fuck everyone approach that he has when it comes to killing some locust arse. It then got me thinking about the movie and who I’d like to see portray cole train or any other charactor for that matter. Lets have a look at the Gears of War team.

Gears Of War Boys

Above we have 4 of the main characters, from left to right, Damon Baird, Augusts “The Cole Train” Cole, Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago. I know what your all thinking, why not get the guys who do the voice, also play the role. Its not as simple as that if you’ve seen them and all models for the character are not actors, the only one we could get away with is Lester Speight (Cole Train)

The main reason for writing this post is because some people have suggested that they are going to cast The Rock to play Marcus and I personally will think it will be a fucking tragedy to this game if that happens. Not only do the modern public see him as nothing more than a gimic due to his wrestling career, but he is the wrong colour and voice to even consider playing someone as deep and motivated as Marcus. On relfection, rather than sitting here thinking of who I would have in, ive decided to open the floor to everyone who reads this to have your say about who you feel would make a good actor for these much loved charactors of the gaming world!
