This season has been one of a surprise in the city of Seville as Real Betis have risen to challenge the dominance of Sevilla, while Sevilla have struggled and risk missing out on European football yet again.
Sevilla have been the pride of the city for a long time now, but this season has been turbulent as they struggled to get into the Europa League and they are already into their third manager of the season.
Betis have been more stable this season and their brand of football has also been exciting to watch.
They need just a point to finish ahead of their visitors here to go straight to the Europa League group stage.
Betis have won seven of their last eight games, and they kept 6 consecutive clean sheets in the months of March and April combined – a run of form which shows they are finally getting their defence sorted out as it has been their problem position for the past few seasons.
Sevilla have failed to win their last four away games, and they lost the reverse fixture 5-3 last year.
