Valencia and Sporting Gijon will take on each other in this return leg of the Copa del Rey round of 16 match.
The first leg ended in a 2-1 win for the visitors and Valencia will be looking to take advantage of playing at the Mestalla to see off this Gijon side, but it will not be an easy job.
Valencia drew their last home game 1-1 against Real Valladolid and while that game didn’t go entirely their way, it means they have kept their impressive home form intact.
Los Che may have lost two of their last four games, but they haven’t been beaten in their last seven home games in all competitions and this includes a 2-1 win over Manchester United in the Champions League.
Their fans will hope that home support can help get them into this competition’s last 8.
Sporting Gijon beat Valencia in the first leg and they will be looking to make another good impression in this return leg.
They drew 1-1 at Albacete at the weekend to continue their recent poor run of form.
Gijon have now won just two of their last seven games in all competitions however they eliminated Eibar from this competition in the last round so that should be a confidence booster for them ahead of this game.
Bookmakers are not very optimistic about Sporting Gijon ahead of this tie as Valencia are currently trading as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top.
Goal markets suggest this will be an exciting game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on.
