Atletico Madrid vs Valencia
Competition – Spanish Primera
Stadium – Wanda Metropolitano
Date: 19th October 2019
Kick-off time – 15:00 GMT
Atletico Madrid and Valencia meet here in what should be one of the most closely-contested games this weekend with both teams looking to maintain their recent unbeaten run.
Atleti haven’t been absolutely fantastic, but Diego Simeone’s side come here having not conceded a goal in their last 5 games. They have however, won just two of those matches with the rest ending in goalless draws.
Playing at home should give them more reason to be more adventurous and try to hurt this Valencia side, but that could be tougher to accomplish than it seems on paper.
Valencia have built some consistency just before the international break and they would be keen to continue from where they left off in this game.
Los Che won their last two League games although they were beaten 0-3 at home by Ajax in the Champions League along the way.
The visitors have been used to narrow clashes when they play on the road and they could force Atleti to play another low scoring game here.
The last three games between these sides have seen over 2.5 goals scored on just one occasion. They are also even steven in their head-to-head clashes with 20 wins each in their last 56 clashes.
