Manchester United welcome Liverpool this weekend as they look to recover from a very bad start to their season while Liverpool will be looking to equal a record of 18 straight Premier League wins and continue their perfect start to the season here.
The Red Devils have been struck with injuries and come into this game with uncertainty over the likes of Paul Pogba, David de Gea, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Jesse Lingard, and Luke Shaw ahead of this match.
They have lost three of their last six games and have only won two of their opening 8 league games so far. They have been struggling for goals and the only game they have scored more than once this season was when they beat Chelsea 4-0. Now they face a Liverpool side that sits 8 points clear at the top of the league table.
Liverpool are looking to equal the Premier League record for consecutive wins with 18 when they take on the Red Devils in this game. Jurgen Klopp’s side have won all of their Premier League games so far and have an 8 points lead at the top of the league table.
They are currently unbeaten in the league since January, but they have struggled for wins in this fixture and on this ground in recent seasons. Despite gunning for the league title last season, the Reds still failed to win at this ground and that should tell them how tough it is to beat their great rivals.
That being said, Manchester United are still not in an advantageous position heading into this game and they will need an immaculate performance if they are to get anything from this game.
