Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid Preview

This is arguably the most exciting game of the weekend in Spain.

Real Madrid have started the new season in an inconsistent manner while their hosts have been on a hot streak of form and scoring goals for fun.

It will be interesting to see how these two teams outscore each other on Sunday.

Real Sociedad are the highest scoring side in Spain this season as the Basque side have netted 10 goals in just 3 league games.

They took that hunger for goals into Europe in midweek as they slaughtered Rosenborg by a 4-0 margin which means that they now have scored at least 3 or more goals in all of their four competitive games this season and that will do their confidence a lot of good as Real Madrid come into town.

Real Madrid will be without Marcelo who is suspended for this game and that is their first big problem.

Sociedad are very strong on the wing and they will look to take advantage of any weakness in the Los Blancos full back position.

Real Madrid need to up their performances because if they repeat the low level of concentration at the back and coordination at the front they have displayed in recent games, they could lose this game.

On current form, a draw is probably a fair outcome however as always, bookmakers make Madrid strong odds-on favourites to win despite their woes.
