Watford vs Manchester United Preview

Watford beat Newcastle 3-0 at Saint James Park over the weekend, a win that shows why Marcos Silva is a wanted man right now.

The Hornets started the season well and even spent a few weeks inside the top four and prior to last weekend’s win, they defeated West Ham 2-0.

They are now 8^th in the league table, just four points outside the top four and they will be hoping they can follow Huddersfield and Basel to beat Manchester United here.

They have been impressive away from home but their home record hasn’t been so good with two wins, two draws and two losses at Vicarage Road so far.

Manchester United also won their weekend game but it was far from an ideal win as they struggled to break down a very determined Brighton side and needed an own goal from Lewis Dunk to edge out the Seagulls.

The Red Devils are currently second in the league table and they have struggled at times away from home this season.

Their losses to Huddersfield and Chelsea confirms that.

However, their wins at Swansea and Southampton means they can punish Watford at home too.
