This has been one hell of a season for Everton fans.

They saw their top scorer for the past few seasons Romelu Lukaku leave to join Manchester United and the money spent in the summer was not spent how they would have wanted with new recruits failing to live up to their hype.

Their poor start to the season meant Ronald Koeman had to pay the ultimate price with his job and after a very intriguing search, Sam Allardyce who wasn’t the most popular candidate was installed as their new boss.

While the former Bolton man still remains unpopular, he has helped them move out from the brink of relegation into the top half of the league table.

They can finish the season as high as 8^th as they don’t have the toughest of games in this run-in.

Everton have two wins, two draws and one loss from their last five games.

Newcastle are in an even better place in terms of current form.

The Magpies dug deep to beat Arsenal in their last league game and they have now won their last four league games on the bounce heading into this Monday night clash.

Rafa Benitez’s men are now secured from relegation trouble and the former Liverpool manager would be looking to build on their current form to finish as high as they can by the end of the season.
