Austria vs Brazil

Competition – International Friendly

Stadium – Ernst Happel Stadium

Date: 10th June 2018

Kick-off time – 15:00 GMT

This is Brazil’s last warm up game before the World Cup begins, and the Samba boys will be looking to keep their good form and morale high as well as avoiding another injury.

Austria on the other hand are not going to Russia and they have less to worry about so they will be looking to keep their current good run of form going against the Brazilians.

It would have been great to see the likes of David Alaba and Marko Arnautovic are the World Cup, but the Austrians made a mess of their qualification campaign until it was too late for them to build on their appearance at Euro 2016.

The Austrians come into this game with a run of seven wins, beating the likes of Uruguay and Germany along the way.

Their form should tell the Brazilians that they are no pushovers ahead of this match, and we should expect an exciting contest.

Brazil beat Croatia 2-0 in their last warm up game with Neymar scoring the opener on his return from injury – they will be looking to get another win here and head to Russia with confidence high in their camp.

These teams last met in a friendly match in 2014, and the Brazilians were victors by a scoreline of 2-1.
