This week will be the second consecutive week that the New York Red Bulls would have to deal with a run of games stretched across two competitions, beginning with this match.
They do have a good record in this fixture as they have won 4 of their last four meetings with the Sounders.
After coming off an emotional derby against NYCFC with a 4-0 win in the US Open Cup last Wednesday, the Red Bulls claimed a commendable 1-1 draw against the Colombus Crew last weekend – that point came courtesy of some heroic goalkeeping from Luis Robles and they will now be looking to get back to winning now that they are back home.

However, they rallied to a 2-1 win in the second half and they will now look to get another win here to put a run of wins together.
