Germany vs Netherlands

Competition –  Nations League

Stadium – Veltins-Arena

Date: 19th November 2018

Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT

The Netherlands have turned their fortunes around and seem to be back among the big boys of Europe at the moment.

They beat world champions, France 2-0 at home in their last qualifying game and come into this game full of confidence as they need just a draw to qualify as the top team from this group which would be a major achievement.

Some 12 months ago, the Netherlands were in disarray after failing to qualify for their second consecutive competition.

However, they have performed well since this competition began.

Holland were beaten by France on matchday 1, however, they went on to beat Germany in their next game, before beating the World champions in the reverse game last week.

Beating Germany in Gelsekirchen would not come as a major surprise based on their current form and they should be looking to claim at least a point here.

Germany are yet to recover from their poor outing at the World Cup as Joachim Low’s men have been relegated from this group already.

They played well in their first game against France but their failure to break down a pragmatic Les Bleus shows just how bad things have become for them.

Germany also struggled in their defeat at the Netherlands even though they seemed to offer more on the attack.

The Germans have conceded an average of 1.74 goals per game in this competition so far and that should worry their fans as the Netherlands have scored an average of 2.23 goals per game so far.

Germany are playing this game for pride and they will be looking to continue their 7 game unbeaten home run against the Dutch.
