Juventus vs AS Roma Preview

Roma ended their five game run of no wins when they beat Genoa 3-2 in a thrilling contest last time out.

They now face the unenviable trip to Turin to try and win against a Juventus side that remains unbeaten in the Italian top flight this season.

The league leaders will be the biggest challenge that Roma face at this stage of the season and any result other than defeat at the hands of the Bianconerri would be a major morale booster for the capital city men.

Juve won their local derby against Torino 0-1 last time out.

Torino did their best to frustrate the champions in that game and it took a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty for them to come out victorious.

That win secured a return to winning ways for them after they were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by Young Boys in the Champions League in midweek.

Roma come into this game having struggled to win games in recent weeks and the big question would be whether that can change when they visit the Allianz Stadium in this game.

The last three games between these teams have been close with Juventus winning just once in normal time, once on penalties and a goalless draw at the Stadio Olimpico

Bookmakers have priced Juventus up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top while Cristiano Ronaldo is clear favourite to score the first goal.
