Arsenal vs Manchester United Preview

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Competition – Barclays Premier League

Stadium – Emirates Stadium

Date: 10th March 2019

Kick-off time – 16:30 GMT

These two teams visited France for European engagements in midweek and both came back with different outcomes.

Manchester United visited PSG having lost the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 game 2-0 and facing a situation that no team has ever survived and in the end they turned it around after beating PSG 3-1 in one of the greatest comebacks in recent times.

Arsenal visited Rennes for the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 game.

The Gunners went to that game as favourites and took the lead early on from a fine goal by Alex Iwobi, however, the French side rallied around and beat the Gunners 3-1 to leave Unai Emery’s men with it all to do now.

Both sides are also in a battle for who ends the season inside the top four as the last two places remains up for grabs between three teams.

The Gunners are currently 5th in the league table, just one point behind the Red Devils who occupy  4th position while Chelsea are below them also have just one point less.

This game should be seen as one that will go a long way to determine who eventually ends up inside the top four and the Gunners will want their home advantage to pay.

Manchester United’s win over PSG in midweek should spur them on to get a result here however after a shocking comeback, they need to remain focused throughout and settle back into Premier League football.

This is one of the closest betting markets of the weekend as Arsenal are currently slight favourites to come out on top.  Manchester United will undoubtedly have supporters after their midweek heroics however they will start the game as outsiders.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is clear favourite with bookies to score the opening goal of the game.
