Real Madrid vs Real Betis Preview

Real Madrid vs Real Betis

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Estadio Santiago Bernabéu

Date: 19th May 2019

Kick-off time – 11:00 GMT

Real Madrid will be looking to end their season on a high when they welcome Real Betis for their last game of the season.

Los Merengues have had a tough season but the return of Zinedine Zidane as their manager gives fans hope that next season will be better and perhaps they can win another Champions League.

The former French star has one decision that seems inevitable- axing Gareth Bale – and this game may be the Welsh man’s last for Madrid if he is considered to play.

Madrid have been struggling recently and come into this game with a single win in their last 4 games, two of which have ended in losses for them.

Real Betis come here 10th in the league table and with nothing to play for, so we expect them to go all out and try to frustrate Madrid in front of their fans.

The visitors haven’t had the best of seasons and they can only hope for a better season in the 2019/2020 season.

They come here in an inconsistent run of form that has largely been negative.  They won their last game 2-1 against Huesca, but that is their only win in their last 6 games and 4 of those matches have ended in defeats for them.

Bookmakers have priced Real Madrid up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game while Betis will start the game as outsiders.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 3.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Karim Benzema is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
