France vs Andorra Preview

After having their national anthem played mistakenly for the Albanian national team who played against France on Saturday, Andorra will hope they can spring a surprise and get a result in this game.

Les Bleus have traditionally struggled in qualifiers and there were lots of fears when a couple of their top players pulled out of this round of international matches, but the national team did well against the Albanians.

Two goals from Kingsley Coman helped the French men record a 4-1 win and keep them top of their group by only goal difference.  France’ group is one of the most competitive so there is almost no margin for error.

Alongside Turkey and Iceland, Les Bleus have taken 12 points from 5 games and they would be keen to win here to keep their slight advantage over their other group winners contenders.

Andorra fought hard in their last game against Turkey and were only beaten by a late goal.  They seem to be playing for pride at the moment as they come here with no points and a -11 goal advantage after 5 games.

France may sometimes struggle in qualifying series, but it is difficult to see this Andorran side springing a surprise in this match.

Bookmakers have priced France up as though defeat is out of the question while Andorra are priced up as huge underdogs.

Goal markets point to a goal-fest as over 4.5 goals is trading long odds-on prior to kick-off so expect fireworks and plenty of goals at the Stade de France.
