Rangers vs FC Porto Preview

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers will look to pull clear of their Portuguese visitors in the race for the Europa League knockout round when both sides square up in this game.

Rangers’ battle of supremacy with Celtic has made them better and they can’t seem to drop their level at the moment.  The Gers come into this game unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions.

They have been in fine form at home as they have won their last 6 games at Ibrox including Europa League games against Feyenoord and Legia Warsaw.  Their fans will be hopeful of another win here.

FC Porto are used to playing in the Champions League but they did not qualify this season and have not been the most dominant in this group either.

The Portuguese side struggled to beat Aves 1-0 at home over the weekend and come into this game with one loss, two draws and two wins in their last 5 games in all competitions.

Porto have won just one of their last three Europa League games despite playing two of those matches at home.

The Portuguese side has also struggled when they face Rangers as they are winless in their 3 head-to-head meetings against them.
