Belgium vs Tunisia

Competition – FIFA World Cup

Stadium – Otkrytie Arena

Date: 23rd June 2018

Kick-off time – 13:00 GMT

Many consider this competition to be last chance for Belgium’s golden generation to get their hands on a trophy and they seem to still have their issues.

Their main problem has been a lack of team work and that showed up yet again in their first game leading them to drawing the first half.

However, a Dries Mertens stunning goal opened the scoring for them and they never looked back with Romelu Lukaku continuing his fine form in front of goal to net a brace and complete a 3-0 win.

They will be optimistic ahead of this match but Tunisia are a tricky side and Belgium’s stars will need to play as a team more than they did in the first game if they want to win here.

Belgium haven’t lost a game since 2016 and have won 15 of 20 matches since that time.

Tunisia should be worried by the form of Lukaku who has netted 15 times in his last 11 games for his country.

The North Africans lost their first game against England thanks to two Harry Kane goals, but the score of that game could have been worse than 2-1 if England had taken several chances that they created.

The Tunisians were quite poor in that game and could have given two penalties away if the referee had been looking.

Should they play that poorly in this game, they could be joining other African countries making an early exit.

Bookmakers believe Tunisia’s tournament is all but over as they have priced Belgium up at very short odds to come out on top in this game.
