Manchester United vs AFC Bournemouth Preview

Manchester United vs AFC Bournemouth

Competition – Barclays Premier League

Stadium – Old Trafford

Date: 30th December 2018

Kick-off time – 16:30 GMT

Manchester United have got their swagger back and Ole Gunnar Solkjear will be looking to get his 3rd win in as many games when Bournemouth come to town in this game.

The Red Devils finally dismissed Jose Mourinho after a poor start to the season that saw morale at Old Trafford at an all time low as the Portuguese boss looks to always have a problem with his stars.

The return of swift and entertaining attacking football has brought more optimism to the United faithfuls and having scored 8 goals in their last two games, they will be looking to get yet another win here again.

Bournemouth have established themselves as one of the mainstays of the Premier League since achieving promotion against all odds and the credit has to go Eddie Howe who has turned a bunch of unknown quantities into good performers.

The Cherries come into this game in 12th position in the league table having collected 26 points from 19 matches.  They have won 8 games this season but the wins haven’t been coming consistently recently.

Bournemouth were beaten 5-0 by Tottenham in their last match and that was the 7th time they have lost in their last 9 league games.  Another defeat here could see them lose further ground in their bid to finish inside the top half of the league table.

Bookmakers make Manchester United strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in their last home game of 2018.
