Huesca vs Real Betis Preview

This late Sunday game brings together two teams with differing form as they both look to get 2019 started in the best possible way.

Huesca are the host but their 2018 form doesn’t make them favourites as they have won only a game this season and currently have just 8 points for their efforts.

The host started the season well and earned 4 points from their first two games in the league, but they have since collected just 4 from the following 15 games to put themselves firmly rooted at the foot of the La Liga table.

Real Betis look like favourites here judging by their form in 2018, however, they ended the year with a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Eibar.

In their defence, they may have been victims of fatigue for that last game and their fans will be expecting them to come into this game in better form.

Huesca are not doing badly by statistics as they are creating decent chances, but their lack of finishing in the final third and lapses in concentration at the back is the major reason they cannot win games.

If they can fix that for the second half of the season, they could put up a fight to survive relegation.

Bookmakers have priced Real Betis up as slight favourites to come out on top while Loren Moron is clear favourite to score the first goal.
