Arsenal vs Napoli Preview

Arsenal vs Napoli

Competition – Europa League

Stadium – Emirates Stadium

Date: 11th April 2019

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

These sides are two of the favourites to win this competition this year, but one will have to give way for the other after the second leg of this match.

Arsenal have a manager who has won this competition on three occasions and they may feel that they have the slight edge over Napoli here, but the Italians have a manager who has won the Champions League both as a player and as a manager.

This game promises to be an exciting one, but both sides come here having failed to win their domestic games at the weekend.

Arsenal were surprisingly beaten 1-0 by Everton on Sunday, while Napoli could only draw against lowly Genoa.

Nevertheless, Arsenal fans should feel more confident here as their team seems to reserve their best performances for when they play at the Emirates stadium.

They have won all 7 of their last seven home games in all competitions and they will be looking to replicate that here.

Napoli started the season with dreams of wrestling the Italian Scudetto away from the hands of Juventus, but they would have given up by now as the league leaders have opened up a 20 points gap over them.

Their fans should however, feel that their team deserve a trophy for their good attacking football this season and this competition offers them the chance to win one.

Napoli come here having failed to win either of their last two games and they have won just two, lost two and drew one of their last five games in all competitions.

This is one of the closest betting markets in Europe this week as Arsenal are currently slight favourites to come out on top however the odds are extremely close and Napoli are in with a real shout according to oddsmakers.

Goal markets point to a lively game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
