Real Betis vs Valencia Preview

Just 6 points separate these sides as they meet in this week 33 fixture in the Spanish top flight.  Both of these sides also have European ambitions coming into this game so each team would be keen to get the win here.

Valencia have been in fine form during this half of the season and they are competing with Getafe and Sevilla for the final Champions League spot.

The visitors come here off the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Villarreal in the Europa League and that result shows just how good they have become at getting the results in each game.

Apart from a surprising 2-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano recently, Valencia have won 5 of their last seven league games and their victims included Real Madrid in this period of time.  Valencia will be looking to get yet another win in this game.

Real Betis are currently 9th in the league table after 32 games played.  They are in contention for a Europa League place and they would feel they have to get wins in all of their remaining home games to stand a chance of finishing in a European place.

Betis were beaten by Sevilla in their last league game and that was their 3rd loss in their last 5 league games.  Betis also won just one league game in that period of time which makes this a difficult game for them on paper.

Bookmakers have priced Valencia up as slight odds-against favourites to come out on top in this game however the odds are extremely close and Betis will have supporters playing at home.

Giovani Lo Celso, Kevin Gameiro, Loren Moron, Moreno Rodrigo, Dani Parejo, Lorenzo Santi Mina and Ruben Sobrino are all contesting the top of the first goalscorer market which shows that this game could go either way.
