Chelsea vs Eintracht Frankfurt Preview

Chelsea kept themselves in the race for the Europa League when they found an equalizer in the first leg of this game.

They were losing for much of that game as the impressive Germans took an early lead.

However, Frankfurt has shown in this season’s competition that they are no pushovers and their overall form has helped them keep a grip on fourth position in the German league.

Chelsea are also doing well enough to secure a spot in the Premier League top four and a player like Eden Hazard who could leave the club this summer would love to win this competition for the fans.

The Blues have secured Champions League football for next season after they beat Watford 3-0 to take them above Tottenham Hotspur who were beaten by Bournemouth.

Frankfurt were beaten 6:1 by Bayer Leverkusen who are now level on points with them.  However, they now turn their attention to scoring at Stamford Bridge and picking up at least a score draw in this game.

Chelsea had Eden Hazard on the bench for the first leg, but the Belgian should start this game and that increases Chelsea’s chance of winning.

Bookmakers have priced Chelsea up as extremely strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this second leg and progress to the final of the tournament to play either Arsenal or Valencia.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is trading odds-on at present while Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain head the first goalscorer market.
