Valencia vs Arsenal Preview

Unai Emery will be looking to win his fourth Europa League and a first as the manager of Arsenal when he takes his Arsenal side to the Mestalla to defend a 3-1 lead from the first leg.

The Gunners have been looking to end the season inside the top four and secure a return to Champions League football next season, however, they have failed to do so and their only chance of a return to the European elite football competition is to win this trophy.

Valencia have been in fine form and were also hoping to reach the Champions League by winning Europa League however they have it all to do now after losing 3-1 in London.

With three matches left to play, Valencia find themselves 5th in the league table and 3 points behind 4th placed Getafe who are refusing to give up the 4th spot.

Arsenal don’t have the best of away form as they have lost 3 of their last 5 on the road.  Their fans should be positive as they beat SS Napoli the last time they played on the road in Europe.

Valencia meanwhile, have lost 3 of their last 4 games in all competitions and need extra motivation to turn things around here.

Bookmakers have priced Valencia up as slight odds-on favourites to come out on top in this second leg while Arsenal are extremely short-priced favourites to progress to the final however a 2:0 win for Valencia would see them progress.

Goal markets point to a lively game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kevin Gameiro and Moreno Rodrigo are all vying for favourtism in the first goalscorer market.
