Ajax will be looking to return to the Champions League group stage for the second consecutive season after their heroics last season.

The Dutch giants were one of the most exciting teams in the competition last season and their attractive attacking brand of football got them to within less than ten minutes of the final.

They began the season with a 2-0 win over PSV in the Dutch Super Cup and they will be looking to build on that and win more trophies this season.

Their team has been looted a little by top European sides as the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong have signed for Juventus and Barcelona respectively.

They may also still lose Van de Beek before the transfer window shuts however Ajax have kept Dusan Tadic and Hakim Ziyech and they should make a good statement in this game.

PAOK Salonika will be looking to get into the Champions League group stage this season as well and they come here in a good run of form that has seen them win their last 4 games, scoring at least 3 goals in each game.

These sides look to have prepared very well for this game and it will be interesting to see how both go about this game.

Bookmakers have priced Ajax up as slight favourites to come out on top in this game however the odds are close and PAOK are in with a real shout of taking something back to the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
