Paris Saint-Germain vs Lille Preview

PSG will look to continue their dominance of the French League when they take on Lille in this game but the French champions know that this opponent is one of the toughest to beat so expect an interesting clash here.

PSG have opened up an eight point gap at the top of the French league table and they look most likely to retain their league crown at the end of the season.

The hosts have had a good season but the return of Kylian Mbappe and the stunning form of Mauro Icardi has propelled them to new heights.

They looked like a team in need of a break just before the International Break after losing to bottom of the table Dijon and struggling to beat Brest and Club Brugge.

Lille finished second behind PSG last season and when these sides clashed in that campaign it was an epic battle.  However, the visitors have been struggling to reach the heights of last season and come here off the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw with Metz.

They are missing the goals of Nicolas Pepe and desperately need someone to step up and take the goal scoring mantle.  They created two big chances and fired 5 shots on goal in their last game and still couldn’t score.  Their fans would hope the International break helps them come back better.
