Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview

There are some spicy fixtures as the midweek fixtures return to the Premier League this week, but this is arguably the biggest game we have on Wednesday because of Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho will be returning to his old stomping ground with his new team looking to build on his 100% record as Spurs manager.

Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa at the weekend and they would be keen to get back to winning ways in this game.

Mourinho won the Europa League with Manchester United and this month makes it a year since he was fired as their manager.  The Portuguese boss will want to use this opportunity to tell his former employers that they were wrong to let him go.

Manchester United come here with no wins from their last three games in all competitions, but they have lost just twice in their last ten competitive games.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last six matches – they have won four of those games and they come into this game on a run of three consecutive wins.

Manchester United haven’t lost any of their last eight home games and they have won five of these matches.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last three away games and they would be keen to keep that run going here.
