Villarreal will look to continue their fine form post-quarantine after they beat Celta Vigo 1-0 in their first game back But Mallorca won’t want to lose two consecutive games after being beaten by Barcelona last time out.
Villarreal would have been happy at the suspension of the Spanish league season because were in the midst of a very poor run of form before the suspension, losing three consecutive games.
Their 1-0 win last time however, shows that they have come back a stronger side and they would look to build on that in this game.
Mallorca’s loss to Barcelona was their second in their last three league games and they will look to get their first win after the restart here however the Estadio de la Cerámica is a difficult place to visit.
Villarreal has overcome their struggles this season and they are now looking to end this season in a European place once again.
Five points separate them from the top six, but they are just two points away from the last European position.
Mallorca is still very much in the relegation zone and they would feel that they need to win this game and their following matches so that they can avoid the drop this season.
