Manchester City vs Arsenal Preview

Manchester City welcome Arsenal in this game as football returns following more than 70 days of suspension and both teams will be hoping for a fine start to the end of their season.

Manchester City is already guaranteed Champions League football for next season and if their Champions League ban isn’t upheld then they have nothing to play for again in the Premier League as Liverpool is set to win the title.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal still has to fight for a place in the Premier League’s European positions this season and the Gunners would feel that they need a win more than their hosts in this game.

The Gunners are currently almost ten points off the top four but they would feel that they can get into the top six by the end of this season and earning a win in this game would see them close the gap on the top six.

Guardiola welcomes back a fully fit side for this game with the likes of Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane now fit to play for him.

The change to five substitutes per game should have an effect on how the teams play with that more changes expected to bring a change of tactics.

It will be interesting to see how these teams restart their campaign with Manchester City priced up as extremely strong favourites with bookmakers to kick-off the end of their campaign with a victory.
