Real Madrid will continue pushing Barcelona for the Spanish league title as football finally returns to Spain.
Los Merengues are five points behind Barcelona ahead of this game but they have played a game less and they would be keen to avoid Valencia spoiling their run.
Valencia is chasing a return to Europe but their initial poor start to the season has placed them four points outside the La Liga top four and they need a win in this game to boost their morale.
Madrid won their first game back when they beat Eibar 3-1 at home and they should be happy to be playing at home again in this fixture.
The hosts have been in a patchy run of form that has seen them win just two of their last five matches in all competitions and Zinedine Zidane would be keen for his side to earn another win in this game.
Valencia is winless in three games ahead of this match after they only managed a 1-1 draw at home against Levante last time out.
Los Che knows they have to start winning if they want to return to Europe so they need to be prepared to stun the Bernabeu in this game.
