Everton vs Liverpool

Competition – Barclays Premier League

Stadium – Goodison Park

Date: 21st June 2020

Kick-off time – 19:00 GMT

Liverpool and Everton face off in what should be one of the most interesting Premier League games this weekend as football finally returns to England.

The Reds are just two wins away from winning their first league title in 30 years and with Jurgen Klopp’s men already 22 points ahead of their closest challenger, it is only a matter of time before they wrap up the season.

Everton will be determined to throw a spanner into Liverpool’s bid to land the trophy early on by making sure they beat them in this Merseyside Derby however the Reds have what it takes to overcome any team in England as they have shown in the past.

With the teams returning to action after more than 100 days out, players will expectedly be rusty and this match may come down to who wants it more.

Liverpool was in a patchy run of form ahead of this game after they lost three of their last four games before the competition was suspended however they have lost just one league game all season and they will be looking to beat Manchester City’s 100 points record by the end of the season.

Everton won none of their last three league games before the suspension of football and Carlo Ancelotti’s men would be keen to get their campaign back on track by emulating Watford to beat Liverpool in this game.

Liverpool hasn’t lost any of their last five visits to Everton and they have won three of the last five meetings between these teams.
