The 2017-2018 Barclays Premier League kicks off this Friday evening at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal will take on previous champions Leicester City in the opening game of the season.
The outright betting markets much depends on summer signings in this era compared to when teams were judged based on their pre-season form.
Arsenal have brought in one star in Alexandre Lacazette and they are currently 11/1 to win the 2017-2018 EPL.
Chelsea brought in Willy Caballero on a free transfer, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata who is by far their most impressive signing of the summer. Chelsea are currently 7/2 joint second favourites to win the league this year.
Liverpool are 12/1 to win after a couple of summer signings – Mohamed Salah (Roma), Dominic Solanke (Chelsea) and Andrew Robertson (Hull City).
Manchester City have been relatively busy this summer bringing in a number of potential star players – Bernardo Silva (Monaco), Ederson (Benfica), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur), Douglas Luiz (Vasco De Gama), Danilo (Real Madrid) and Benjamin Mendy (Monaco). Man City are currently clear favourites to lift the title this year at odds of 9/5 which seems reasonable given the potential of their squad.
Manchester United have signed Victor Lindelof (Benfica), Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) which appears to be appears to be a very strong trio. They are currently join second favourites with Chelsea to win the title at odds of 7/2
Tottenham haven’t made any notable signings this summer – they lost Kyle Walker to Manchester United and despite that, they are currently 4th favourites at 10/1.
