Levante vs Deportivo La Coruna Preview

This is not the most exciting game of the new season but a win in this game would be very satisfying for Levante after they started their season on a positive note.

Levante defeated Villarreal 1-0 last weekend because of a late penalty which was awarded to them – they would be wise not to get carried away by that victory as Deportivo represent a different challenge to Villarreal.

Overall they were impressive defensively to hold Villarreal and stop them from scoring and a good defensive display will give them a good chance of winning this game also.

Deportivo lost their opening game 3-0 to Real Madrid and while the score line looks like they did nothing that could be deceptive as they played very well but they could obviously do nothing against the European champions.

Attacker Florin Andone missed two glorious chances – if he had converted those perhaps the result would have been different.

With the imminent arrival of Arsenal attacker Lucas Perez the duo could form a very lethal attacking pair for Depor.

Everyone expects Deportivo to react well to that opening day defeat and it will be interesting to see how they react.
