Northern Ireland endured a tough start before defeating San Marino on Friday.
Despite bossing possession, they Struggled to break down the stubborn defence and only found a breakthrough in the second half when their opponents were obviously tired.
A goal from Steven Davies and two from Josh Magennis earned them a 3-0 victory and put them on course to qualify for next year’s showpiece.
They are currently 2nd in their qualifying table and trail the perfect Germans by 5 points but they have 7 points more than 3rd placed Czech Republic and a win in this encounter will all but confirm their qualification.
Czech Republic were impressive at home on Friday against Germany and would have gotten a point from that game before Mat Hummels pounced to score an injury time winner for the Germans.
That loss however, means that they now need to win all of their remaining fixtures to stand any chance of qualifying for the World Cup and that means they cannot afford to be as defensive as they were against the Germans in this game.
