Italy vs Israel Preview

Italy had not lost a qualifying game in 11 years prior to facing Spain away in their last game however Isco had plans to ruin their dream and he did as he inspired Spain to an unlikely 3-0 victory which has all but ended the Italians dream of making it to the world cup through automatic qualification.

The Italians have a three point deficit over Spain who are top of the table and the same figure more than Albania who are third on the table.

When Israel were drawn in the same group as Spain and Italy, not many were optimistic about their chances of making it even to the playoffs, and true to those predictions, the Israelis have struggled.

They lost their last match at home to Macedonia which was a follow up to another 3-0 loss to Albania making it four games without a win and they may not even finish inside the top four at the end of the qualifiers
