Israel vs Spain
Competition – World Cup Qualifying
Stadium – Ramat Gan Stadium
Date: 9th October 2017
Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT
Having already qualified for the World Cup this game should be a walk in the park for Spain and we pity the Israelis who have been one of the most under-performing competitors in this series.
The Israelis managed to end a five game winless streak with a less than impressive 1-0 win over Liechtenstein on Friday but that will not do their confidence enough good as they welcome World Cup favourites Spain.
Prior to that win, they lost four straight qualifying games and it will no doubt be hard for them to stop an Isco inspired Spain in this game.
Isco has emerged as a leading light in this Spanish team in this qualifying series as he scored in their last match against Albania which made it 4 goals in his last three international games.
He has continued to be dangerous especially when allowed further forward and he will expectedly be offered the same freedom in this game.
Spain are shot on strikers but their goal scoring midfielders have been getting the job done for them so far and Isco and Co. should score a few goals in this game as they have already netted 35 goals in this series.
They scored four against this Israeli team in the reverse fixture.
