Manchester United may be on course to retain their league cup title but their league campaign has not maintained their early results as of late.
They drew at Liverpool and lost at Huddersfield in their last two league games.
Those results mean they now trail top of the table Manchester City by 5 points.
Although they won their League Cup game against Swansea 2-0, Tottenham represents a tougher test for them even though the Lilywhites lost their own League Cup game in midweek.
The Red Devils have won three of their last six meetings with Spurs.
Mauricio Pochettino rotated his team in their midweek 3-2 loss to West Ham in the Carabao Cup and he will definitely field his main men here.
Apart from that shocking loss to West Ham which was their first defeat in 11 games, Spurs have been very impressive and recorded a 4-1 resounding win over Liverpool last weekend – a result that followed another impressive 1-1 draw at Real Madrid in their last Champions League game.
Tottenham are king of the road as they have won all of their away games so far this season.
Harry Kane has been sensational also and what is even more impressive is that he has scored 6 of his 8 Premier League goals this season away from home.
