Borussia Dortmund’s season is showing no signs of getting better and they had to suspend star man Pierre Emerick Aubameyang last weekend for breach of discipline and from that they went on to lose that game 2-1 at Stuttgart.
That result leaves them 5th in the league table and they have not done better in Europe either where they have also failed to win a single group game in Europe after being held by group minors APOEL over two legs.
They are now out of the running for a knockout round and could also fail to qualify for the Europa League if they fail to win here.
Tottenham on the other hand are having a good season and sit top of their Champions League group with 3 points after taking 4 points from Real Madrid.
They beat Real Madrid 3-1 in their last game and also won against Dortmund by the same score line when both teams met in the first game of the season.
A win for them here will all but confirm their place in the next round and they could also top the group if Real Madrid fails to win.
Away from home, they have lost only two of their competitive games at Arsenal and Manchester United, winning five.
With Borussia Dortmund having quality in their attack, this game could be a high scoring game.
