Barcelona vs Deportivo La Coruna Preview

Barcelona have had a hard time winning against Deportivo over the past few seasons with the visitors regularly taking points of them and even defeating them earlier this year.

However, with Real Madrid away at the club world cup, the league leaders will be looking to open up more point’s difference at the top before Los Blancos come back.

Without Neymar on their side Barcelona do not look as destructive but they have fired more than 3.0 goals per home game this season and they could get as many goals against this poorly drilled Deportivo defence too.

Pablo Alcacer has seen more game time this season thanks to the departure of Neymar and with the Spaniard returning four goals in his last four league games, he looks set to play a part in this tie.

On Paper, Deportivo stand very little chance of winning this game as they have been struggling this season and they have fired Pep Mel who led them to a win over Barcelona last time out.

They have lost more than 50% of their away league games – a stat that has seen them move closer to the drop zone.

They head into this game following a much needed win over Leganes last time.

With Lucas Perez leading their attack they will hope to catch Barcelona on the break and at least score a goal.

Deportivo have not lost in three of their last five visits to the Camp Nou.
