Tottenham are back in action at home on this busy Boxing Day.
The Lilywhites will be delighted to be back playing at home after some not so good results away from home recently.
They beat Burnley away 3-0 in their last league game and that should be a major confidence booster for them ahead of this game.
Tottenham’s recent home form has been impressive.
They have three consecutive wins at home and have not lost any of their last seven home league games.
At the start of the season, they struggled to win at home with their away form helping to keep them within the top four.
That poor early start at home and their recent slip away has seen them drop out of the top four.
They now face a big fight to catch their rivals who are inside the top four.
Southampton are also not in the best form at the moment as they sit inside the bottom half of the league table.
Their visit will not send as much shivers down the spine of Spurs and they look set to be in for a tough away day here.
Southampton have a troubling away form as they have failed to win away in their last six league games, losing four of those matches.
They have won only once away from home all season and their overall league form sees them without a win in their last six games.
Southampton are also one of the lowest scorers in the division with just 18 goals in 19 league games.
The Saints have lost four, drawn one, and won one of their last six meetings with Spurs.
