Sevilla have been the most successful of these rivals in recent times but this contest remains one of the most interesting derbies in Spanish football.
This game will be the first league game for new manager Vincenzo Montella who replaced the ruthlessly sacked Eduardo Berizzo.
Berizzo left them inside the top five and through to the next round of games in the Champions League.
Mentella started well with a 2-0 win over Cadiz in the Copa Del Rey but can he win his first derby?
