Manchester City vs Liverpool Preview

Earlier this year it appeared as though Manchester City would be gunning for an unprecedented quadruple but now they may have to settle for a double unless they can mastermind a huge shock to eliminate Liverpool in this game.

Liverpool overwhelmed them in the first half of the first leg and the Reds defended well in the second half to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the second leg.

At the weekend Manchester City suffered another defeat after taking a 2-0 lead in the first half before being succumbed to a 3-2 defeat in front of their own fans when a win would have helped secure the Premier League title.

A much changed Liverpool side drew at Everton at the weekend and Jurgen Klopp will undoubtedly be playing his best players in this game as they look to reach the Champions League semifinals for the first time since 2007.
