Barcelona vs Valencia Preview

Barcelona vs Valencia

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Estadio Camp Nou

Date: 14th April 2018

Kick-off time – 15:15 GMT

Barcelona looked set to win the treble this season and everything seemed to be going according to plan until a terrible night in Rome saw them lose 3-0 and that knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday.

They now face the biggest test of their La Liga season with a resurgent Valencia side visiting the Camp Nou in this tie.

The Blaugranas have conceded at least one goal in their last four matches and they were very lucky to escape unbeaten in their game against Sevilla a couple of weeks back.

Barcelona have four wins from their last five meetings with Valencia.

Valencia are heading into this game with high confidence following a good run of form that has seen them win 8 of their last 9 games.

They have had to be lucky at times this season, but they have developed a winning mentality and that will be key for them in this clash.

They are also better than they were when both sides met in the Copa del Rey back in February.

Roma would have given them the blueprint of how to take Barca out with intensity and that could work for them here if they choose to follow Roma.

They have scored 1.9 goals per game this season, and have netted at least two goals in 6 of their last 9 games.
