Belgium vs Egypt Preview

Belgium go into this World Cup as one of the favourites and their fans think it is about time that this generation of players bring a trophy home.

They kick started their preparation for the competition with a draw against European champions, Portugal and with Panama and Tunisia in their group, you can understand why they are playing Egypt now and then Costa Rica before the competition begins.

Egypt are also heading for the World Cup in Russia and this will be their last warm up game before the competition begins in Russia.

However, they have been struggling in the absence of Mohamed Salah and their draw in their last game against Colombia in Italy would have raised questions about how they can cope without the Liverpool man.

The Egyptians will be playing a very talented Uruguay in their opening game on June 15th and perhaps that explains why they have decided to take on the Belgians to get a feel for what to expect from an attacking team.

The Egyptians are struggling at the moment. They have not won any of their last five games and they have already tasted defeat against Portugal and Greece.

It will be interesting to see how they can deal with the threats of Eden Hazard and co.

Belgium on the other hand have gone three games without conceding a goal, and have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last six games.
