Poland vs Senegal Preview

Poland and Senegal finally get their chance to play each other at this World Cup.

They are in a very competitive group with Japan and Colombia also having the chance to go through.  Every game matters and they will both be looking for a bright start here.

Poland won 8 of their 10 qualifying games and they only failed to score in one of those games.

It was an important game though as they lost 4-0 to Denmark and although they will not remember that fondly, they have had a good run of games before the World Cup.

The Poles beat Lithuania 4-0 in their last warm up game, which came after they battled to a 2-2 draw against Chile.

They should be worried that they conceded two goals, especially as they have conceded at least a goal in all but one of their last five games, and they will be without Kamil Gilik for this game.

Poland’s poor defence will be coming under some serious attack from Senegal who do not seem to lack firepower up front.

Sadio Mane is the star of this Senegal team, however, they still have the likes of Keita Balde, and Moussa Sow supporting him in their attack.

Senegal have Premier League quality in midfield also and the much sought-after Kalidou Koulibaly will be leading their defence.

Senegal won their last warm up game 2-0 against South Korea and looked really good in their 2-1 loss to Croatia prior to that.

It’s just one defeat in ten games for the Africans ahead of this game.
