Manchester United vs Liverpool Preview

Manchester United and Liverpool face off in the International Cup in what has been tagged the ‘plastic derby’ and both teams will be looking to give fans a good run for their money in this game.

Manchester United have not had the biggest transfer market foray this summer.

They have signed Fred and Diogo Dolot, however, Jose Mourinho is still moaning about obtaining new signings.

The likes of Toni Kroos and Jerome Boateng remain targets, while a new winger or attacker is also desired by the former Chelsea boss.

They have not won any game in regulation time so far, and only defeated AC Milan on penalties in their last game in this competition.

Liverpool have had a more positive pre-season preparation so far.

The Reds have made major signings to the tune of £170 million.

Their new arrivals include the likes of Alisson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xerdan Shaqiri.

After spending this much, it seems like this season will be win or burst for Liverpool.

The Reds lost their first International Champions Cup game 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund before beating Manchester city 2-1 last time out.

Mohamed Salah came into their last game for the last half hour and helped turn the match on its head.

Salah and Sadio Mane are expected to start this game, while Naby Keita who missed the Manchester City game with a sore neck should return here also.
