Southampton are struggling to stay up yet again after miraculously surviving relegation last season.

The Saints were beaten by Leicester City in the Carabao Cup in midweek to pile more misery on Mark Hughes’ side.

They come into this game having won just one Premier League game all season.

Southampton have lost 7 of 13 league games and slid into the relegation zone last weekend as other relegation battlers started picking up needed points.

The Saints have lost 3 of their last 6 games however the other 3 have ended in draws and they will need more than that to stay up at the end of the season.

Manchester United may not be battling relegation at the moment, but they are also not fighting for the Premier League title either.

The Red Devils put in another subpar performance in their midweek game against Young Boys and needed a late goal from Marouane Fellaini to secure the points.

United were held to a goalless draw in their last league game by Crystal Palace, but their fans should feel that they have a good chance in this game as they have reserved their best performances for their away games.

Jose Mourinho’s men have conceded 21 goals already this season and that is the worst record of any team in the top 13.

Their attackers are also not exactly firing so they may still struggle to break down Southampton here.

Bookmakers make Manchester United slight odds-on favourites to come out on top while goal markets are currently undecided if we will see goals or not.

Romelu Lukaku is currently favourites with bookmakers to get the first goal despite his poor run of form.
