These are perhaps the top two most underappreciated teams in La Liga this season.
They both are not traditional big sides, but they come into this game inside the Spanish top six and within points of the Champions League places.
As a matter of fact, Alaves would get into the top three were they to claim all three points in this game.
Alaves elimination from the Copa del Rey has freed up more space for them as they will be playing at least 4 games less than their rivals this month and they should take advantage of that to move up the league table.
The home side are riding their luck as well as an organized defence this season.
They beat Villarreal 2-1 away from home last time out – a result that shows that they have added some attacking bite to their good defencive performances.
These teams have two of the top four best defences in the division and we may see them both come with a cautious approach for this game, however, it looks like Getafe could earn another home clean sheet as Alaves have lost their two most creative players this month.
Bookmakers have priced Getafe up as slight odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game.
Goal markets suggest this will be an extremely low-scoring game as under 2.5 goals is trading long odds-on prior to kick-off.
Hugo Duro, Jaime Mata and Rodriguez Angel are all joint favourites to score the opening goal of the game.
