Arsenal vs Manchester United Preview

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Competition – FA Cup

Stadium – Emirates Stadium

Date: 25th January 2019

Kick-off time – 19:55 GMT

This should be OleGunnar Solskjaer’s biggest test as the manager of Manchester United.

The Red Devils almost dropped points at the weekend when they beat a stubborn Brighton side 2-1.

That game showed that even though they eventually won their 7th game under the much-loved Norwegian, the end may be in sight and that could be in this game.

While Manchester United struggled to see off Brighton, Arsenal earned an impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea to keep themselves ahead of the Red Devils on goal difference in the race for the top four.

These sides have already met once this season as poor defencive displays from both teams ensured that the match ended 2-2.

With the only hope of winning a trophy lying in this competition, we expect both teams to make this game as entertaining as possible in a bid to progress further in the FA Cup.

Solskjaer has already passed one major test when his Manchester United side beat Tottenham 1-0 a couple of matches back, but Unai Emery will approach this game with the more confident players after their win over Chelsea at the weekend.

Manchester United have won two and drawn one of the last three meetings between these teams.

This is an extremely tight betting market as bookmakers currently have Arsenal as slight favourites to come out on top.  Manchester United are priced up within half a point and will no doubt have supporters.

Goal markets suggest a lively cup match as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is currently clear favourite with bookies to score the opening goal followed by Alexandre Lacazette and Romelu Lukaku.

This game gets underway at 19:55 BST.
