Everton vs Manchester City Preview

Everton vs Manchester City

Competition – Barclays Premier League

Stadium – Goodison Park

Date: 6th February 2019

Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT

Manchester City would go top of the Premier League table if they manage to get all three points as expected against Everton in this game and what an extraordinary turn around that would be.

The Cityzens’ 2-1 loss to Newcastle a fortnight ago gave Liverpool the chance to go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but the Reds have since spurned chances with two consecutive draws against Leicester City and West Ham.

Now we have a proper title race on, and Manchester City will want to take their chance and make it count in this game.

The Cityzens beat Arsenal 3-1 in their last league game and they will be playing an Everton side that has won one and lost three of their last four games including an FA Cup defeat against Millwall.

Marcos Silva is under serious pressure at the moment after a series of lackluster displays from his Toffees players and they may want to do Liverpool a favour by taking the points here, but that is easier said than done.

Everton haven’t scored more than two goals in their last 8 matches, and they have lost three of their last four home games in the Premier League.

Bookmakers have priced Manchester City up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top at Goodison Park.

Goal markets suggest there will be goals as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while as per most of Manchester City games, Sergio Aguero is clear favourite with bookies to open the scoring.

This game gets underway at 20:00 BST.
